The present invention relates to a method for producing an atypical tubercle bacillus-infected animal model, including the following steps: injecting a steroid-containing drug to an animal other than human so as to suppress immunity; and injecting atypical tubercle bacillus into at least one area of conjunctiva, mucous membranes on vocal cords, and mesothelium on testis in the animal other than the human so as to cause lesions on an injected portion. The present invention further relates to an atypical tubercle bacillus-infected animal model produced thereby, and a method for screening a treatment agent for atypical tubercle bacillus by using the same. The animal models can contribute to the development of animal experiments in developing diagnostic and therapeutic agents for atypical tuberculosis.
