A method of setting a battery power table to efficiently use a battery power and prevent overcharging of the battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a first power table generating step of generating a first power table by charging a battery having a predetermined SOC value at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time and measuring a maximum charging power that prevents the output of the battery from exceeding its maximum allowable voltage; a second power table generating step of generating a second power table by measuring a SOC value at the time that the battery reaches the maximum allowable voltage when the battery is charged at predetermined power value at a predetermined temperature; a third power table generating step of generating a third power table by calculating a maximum charge power according to a predetermined temperature and a predetermined SOC value based on the second power table; a de-rating table generating step of generating a de-rating table based on the first power table and the third power table; and a final power table generating step of generating a final power table based on the first power table and the de-rating table.
