The present invention relates to a reinforcing apparatus of a lightweight steel truss member and a method of reinforcing strength of a lightweight steel truss member using the reinforcing apparatus, wherein the apparatus is to reinforce strength of a lightweight steel truss member composed of an upper chord member, a lower chord member, and a web member, and comprises: a mounting device installed to be fixated to a lower portion of the lower chord member; and a tendon coupled to the mounting device, and providing a tendon force to the lower chord member through the mounting device. The mounting device comprises: a flange connection plate installed on a lower surface of the lower chord member, and having a plurality of connection holes in a longitudinal direction; and a mounting plate of which one side is connected to the flange connection plate, and having a mounting hole through which the tendon is penetrated.
