CO2 Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells for Production of Synthesis Gas from CO2-Containing Biogas

Provided is a novel MoO_2-based cathode which is suitable for high temperature preplating treatment which produces hydrogen and carbon monoxide from carbon dioxide and water. Moreover, provided is a method for producing the same. The cathode, according to the production method of the present invention, has lower surface resistance than existing Ni-based cathodes, and oxidation barely takes place even at 750 deg. C which is condition for the preplating treatment.
