The present invention provides a selection method of a drinker, wherein with the character for C-H binding, O-H binding, and C-O binding forming an ethanol gas molecule that is a main component of alcohol to emit and absorb infrared rays in a specific wavelength area, instead of a proximity contact method, ethanol contained in expiration of a drive to be controlled is detected through infrared image and infrared wavelength analysis (absorption line wavelength analysis and infrared wavelength analysis) with a remote non-contact method. Therefore, hygiene is improved, and interruption of traffic flow can be minimized.
