The purpose of the present invention is to solve a problem that high temperature activities of NO_x are decreased by preparing a NO_x reduction catalyst using Cu-zeolite produced and obtained by a conventional liquid ion exchange method. The present invention relates to a zeolite on which supported are Cu^(2+) (α) and Cu^(2+) (β) with different nitrogen oxide (NO) coupling degrees at a specific ratio, wherein the zeolite is a chabazite (CHA) type zeolite. More specifically, the present invention relates to the chabazite (CHA) type zeolite having divalent copper ions supported thereon, wherein the divalent copper ions has 80% or more of a NO adsorption area ratio of Cu^(2+) (α) to Cu^(2+) (β) after being exposed to NO for 180 seconds. Further, the present invention relates to a method of producing an ion exchange zeolite at a slurry state and a catalyst comprising the specified chabazite (CHA) type zeolite.
