The present invention relates to a torque converter used for a differential coupling, which is a power transmission device for connection to transfer power to a driven device from a driving device. The present invention relates to a method to implement a variable function, which is the most important function in a structure of a differential coupling converting and adjusting a driving force applied to a driving device in accordance with a change in characteristics, such as torque, a rotational speed, and the like required for a driven device, of the driven device to reduce energy consumption. Moreover, the present invention relates to a technology replacing a pitch control guide vane, which is an existing technology applied to a stator performing a variable function, besides a pump and a turbine inside a torque converter, or improving performance thereof. According to the present invention, in the case of a driving source such as an electric motor, the differential coupling is a device with a function realizing a partial load operation in the capacity of the electric motor to reduce the amount of consumption fuel of an engine or power supplied to the motor. A main function uses a power split method while using a principle of a differential gear, such that an average efficiency is increased. The most important element is the variable function of the torque converter and the core of the present invention is a technology to improve performance of the function.
