The present invention relates to a main board and a central processing unit (CPU) connection architecture, which are capable of directly detaching and replacing various kinds of CPUs regardless of a type of the main board. The main board includes: a main heat sink having a heat dissipation function; a circuit board having an installation hole opened toward the main heat sink, and arranged in parallel with the main heat sink while being spaced apart from the main heat sink; a basic input output system (BIOS) mounted on the circuit board and detachably connected, by a medium of a communication cable, to a circuit kit module which receives a signal of a CPU mounted on a CPU socket to process the signal according to a predetermined process and output the processed signal; and a CPU heat sink including a main body for covering the CPU to dissipate heat, and a leg extending from the main body to pass through the circuit board and having a lower end connected to the main heat sink.
