Disclosed are a polymer coated quantum dot capable of improving thermal and moisture stability when used as a light-emitting device (LED) phosphor encapsulant, and a method for producing the LED phosphor encapsulant using the same. According to the present invention, the polymer coated quantum dot is for the LED phosphor encapsulant and comprises: a quantum dot having a core shell structure; and a polymer coating layer coated on a surface of the quantum dot having the core shell structure. A surface of the polymer coated quantum dot is modified in the size of microparticles by the polymer coating layer coated on the surface of the quantum dot having the core shell structure.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
