The present invention relates to an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), and more specifically, relates to a camera system for ADAS. According to the present invention, the camera system includes a lens for photographing the front of a vehicle; a lens barrel for storing the lens in the internal space thereof; a lens holder combined with the lens barrel; an image sensor for sensing an image taken through the lens; an image processor receiving and processing the image data from the image sensor; and a camera MCU communicating with the image processor to receive the data processed by the image processor. The system also includes an electronic control unit (ECU) controlling the vehicle by determining the risk of collision with adjacent vehicles at a crossroad based on the driving route of the vehicle; and a driver monitoring camera sensing a first direction in which the driver looks at the crossroad. The ECU controls the camera system to sense a second direction which is different from the first direction.
