The present invention relates to a method for deriving train location information using real-time train location signal data on an urban railway, which comprises the steps of: (a) receiving train signal data sensed in real time; (b) comparing the train signal data with arrival signal data; (c) generating average travel time and average operation time data when it is determined that the train signal data is an arrival signal and storing the same in a database; (d) comparing the train signal data with a departure signal if the train signal data is not the arrival signal; (e) estimating an average time required to travel from the departure of the train to a next station and a real-time train location when the train signal data is determined as the departure signal in the step (d); (f) comparing whether the difference between the received real-time train signal data and a preceding train signal section is less than or equal to a set step; and (g) predicting the location of the train where the signal is disconnected if it is determined to be less than or equal to the set step in the step (f). Therefore, it is possible to derive more stable and reliable real-time train location information.
