The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for determining whether or not a lane is misjudged, which improves reliability of an automobile control system using image information of the lane. The apparatus for determining whether or not the lane is misjudged according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a lane information collecting unit for acquiring image information on the lane ahead of an automobile; an automobile information collecting unit for collecting an automobile speed and a yaw rate at an arbitrary time (tk); a lane information control unit for deriving a determination value using the information obtained from the lane information collecting unit and the automobile information collecting unit; and a misjudgment determination unit for determining whether or not the lane is misjudged using the determination value. Since the present invention detects the lane in each cycle and judges the misjudgment, the reliability as compared to the misjudgment based on only an ordinary lane proposition is improved and it is possible to objectively judge the same as in a prior art.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
