The present invention relates to a ginseng beverage containing puffed ginseng and a fruit extract, and a production method thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to a ginseng beverage which ensures reduced smell of ginseng while containing inherent ginsenoside components of red ginseng by mixing an extract of tangerine, citron, and Japanese apricot along with a ginseng extract which had undergone a puffing process. The present invention further relates to a production method thereof. The ginseng beverage and the production method thereof enable acquisition of inherent ginsenoside of red ginseng by applying the puffing process without undergoing a red ginseng production process taking up much time. By reducing the smell of ginseng through primary processing, it is possible to improve preference for taste by adding natural fruits while maintaining saponin content which is a unique functional component, thereby being useful in health functional food industries.
