The present invention relates to a precursor for a positive electrode active material with a core-shell structure, a method for preparing the same, and a positive electrode active material using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a precursor for a positive electrode active material with a core-shell structure which improves the structure of a lithium complex oxide precursor containing nickel and manganese to include a Ni-rich core part and a Mn-rich shell part, thereby providing a secondary battery with improved safety and capacity characteristics, and excellent cycle life.
