Disclosed is a thermal transfer apparatus for performing sublimation transfer printing on a mug or glass bottle. The present invention includes a sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film; a wrapping unit wrapping the sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film around the mug or glass bottle and positioning both ends of the sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film on the mug or glass bottle; and a tension portion (silicone pad) for pulling the sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film. After the wrapping unit wraps the sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film around the mug or glass bottle and positions both ends of the sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film on the mug or glass bottle, the tension portion (silicone pad) pulls the sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film for sublimation image transfer on the mug or glass bottle. After the completion of the sublimation transfer, the tension portion (silicone pad) releases the sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film. Then, the wrapping unit separates the sublimation thermal transfer sheet or film from the mug or glass bottle. Accordingly, an image can be printed on the mug or glass bottle and images can be printed on mugs or glass bottles with different sizes.
