The present invention relates to an insulator inserting apparatus for an LNG cargo ship, inserting insulator into a space between insulating panels of the LNG cargo ship. The apparatus comprises: a feeder for sequentially supplying at least one plate-shaped insulating material; a first and a second plate disposed on both side surfaces of the insulating material supplied from the feeder; a horizontal driving apparatus connected to at least one of the first and second plates and adjusting an interval in the horizontal direction between the first and second plates; a first and a second vertical driving apparatus connected to the first and second plates and moving the first and second plates in the vertical direction; and a fixing apparatus fixing the position of the vertical direction of the insulating material.
