Composition for the improvement prevention or treatment of colorectal cancer of the low molecular weight extract and peptide from Korean native cattle

The present invention relates to a composition for alleviating, preventing or treating colorectal cancer, comprising low molecular weight extracts of Hanwoo having a molecular weight of 3 kDa or less, or comprising a peptide having an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1. The low molecular weight extracts of Hanwoo having a molecular weight of 3 kDa or less show excellent antioxidant activities, ability to inhibit the survival of colorectal cancer cell lines, ability to reduce the glutathione content in colorectal cancer cell lines, and ability to inhibit the expression of genes related to proliferation of cancer cells, thereby exhibiting excellent effects of alleviating, preventing or treating colorectal cancer. The peptide having an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 is isolated and purified from the low molecular weight extracts of Hanwoo that have excellent effects of alleviating, preventing or treating colorectal cancer; shows the most excellent antioxidant effects among fractions of the low molecular weight extracts of Hanwoo; and shows the effect of inhibiting the survival of colorectal cancer cell lines, and thus shows excellent effects of alleviating, preventing or treating colorectal cancer.
