Provided are a wearable device controlling an electronic device based on a hand motion and a control method thereof. The wearable device of the present invention comprises: an electromyogram sensor sensing an electromyogram signal generated by a hand motion; an acceleration and gyro sensor sensing an acceleration signal according to the hand motion; a touch sensor sensing a five-finger input signal according to the hand motion; a communication unit transmitting a control command of an electronic device to the electronic device; and a control unit determining finger movement based on the electromyogram signal sensed by the electromyogram sensor, determining hand movement based on the acceleration signal sensed by the acceleration and gyro sensor, determining a touch input based on the fiver-finger input signal sensed by the touch sensor, and controlling the communication unit to transmit the control command corresponding to the determined finger movement, hand movement, and touch input.
