The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method to automatically calibrate finite difference grid data with improved processing speed and correctness. According to the present invention, the apparatus comprises: a setting input unit to receive a random grid point selected in an image including a grid and a calibration value for the actually measured random grid point; a grid information generation unit to generate grid information including a reference value set to the random grid point and a tolerance for the reference value; a selection area determination unit selecting a plurality of adjacent grid points around the random grid point to extend a selection area, and comparing the grid points included in the selection area with the grid information; a selection area selection unit to select a calibrated grid point having a grid value within the tolerance of the grid information among the grid points; and a calibration processing unit applying the calibration value to the selected calibrated grid point to collectively perform calibration.
