The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing foot-and-mouth disease virus infection using a 3AB unglycosylated protein of foot-and-mouth disease virus and a monoclonal antibody specific thereto, and a diagnostic kit for implementing the method. The immunoassay using the lateral flow assay of the present invention is a rapid kit, which enables rapid diagnosis and low cost compared to the conventional enzyme immunoassay. Therefore, the diagnostic method and the diagnostic kit of the present invention can replace the existing method for diagnosing foot-and-mouth disease.
