The present invention relates to a DC power cable intermediate connection system which can facilitate the impregnation of insulation oil in a high viscosity DC power cable and the flow of the insulation oil in the intermediate connection box, and to an intermediate connection box for a DC power cable. The DC power cable intermediate connection system of the present invention comprises a pair of DC power cables having a conductor, an inner semi-conductive layer, a cable insulation layer, and an outer semi-conductive layer; and an intermediate connection box connecting the pair of DC power cables to each other. The pair of DC power cables is provided such that each end of the conductor, the inner semi-conductive layer, the cable insulation layer, and the outer semi-conductive layer, which are sequentially exposed, are opposite to each other.
