The present invention relates to a method for driving an artificial muscle module and a device for driving the artificial muscle module. The method and device can realize the smooth movement of an artificial muscle module in accordance with the temperature of fluids filling the artificial muscle module, increase the response rate of the artificial muscle module, and increase the energy efficiency compared to a conventional counterpart. According to the present invention, the artificial muscle module driving device includes: a fluid tank unit including a high-temperature tank and a low-temperature tank; a fluid recovery line and a fluid supply line for connecting the artificial muscle module and fluid tank unit; a circulating pump unit for circulating the fluids between the artificial muscle module and the fluid tank unit; a temperature adjusting unit which uses the fluids discharged from the high-temperature and low-temperature tanks to form fluids having a predetermined operating temperature for deforming the shape of the artificial muscle module; and a fluid distribution unit for distributing the fluids of the fluid recovery line to the high-temperature and low-temperature tanks in accordance with preset distribution conditions.
