The present invention relates to an electrode having improved cell impedance measurement sensitivity and a sensor for measuring a cell impedance using the same, and provides a structure of a novel electrode having uniform measurement sensitivity over an electrode structure. According to the present invention, a novel electrode structure having a uniform measurement sensitivity over the entire electrode structure is provided, thereby reducing the phenomenon of concentration of an electric field according to an edge effect. Further, by reducing the edge effect around the electrode, it is possible to provide an electrode having a uniform impedance measurement sensitivity throughout the electrode. Cell impedance measurement sensors, including novel electrode structures, are capable of measuring cell motility and population in unlabeled and real time. In addition, it has an effect of confirming cell characteristics such as cell growth, cell necrosis and apoptosis without destroying the cells. In addition, a cell impedance measuring sensor including a novel electrode structure is effective for drug screening, disease diagnosis, cytotoxicity analysis, and wound healing.
