The present invention provides a method for purifying human serum albumin from transformed rice grains, comprising the steps of: 1) performing a cation exchange chromatography on the crude extract of rHSA to obtain a first product I; 2) performing anion exchange chromatography on the primary product I to obtain a secondary product II; 3) Performing hydrophobic chromatography on the secondary product II to obtain purified rHSA. The method may further comprise the step of ceramic hydroxyapatite chromatography prior to hydrophobic chromatography.
