A skin inflammation-inhibiting composition, a skin moisturizing composition, a cosmetic composition and a cosmetic composition containing a black currant extract as an active ingredient are disclosed.In one embodiment, the black currant extract may be extracted using at least one solution selected from the group consisting of water, alcohol, or a mixed solution thereof as an extraction solvent. The alcohol may include a lower alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. The blackcurrant extract can be extracted using about 40 to about 95% ethanol as the alcohol as the extraction solvent.In another embodiment, the cosmetic composition comprises a black currant obtained by pulverizing a black currant extract obtained by using black currant as an extraction solvent, at least one solution selected from the group consisting of water, a first alcohol, or a mixed solution thereof, Powder is mixed with a mixed solvent. The first alcohol includes a lower alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
