The present invention relates to an environmentally friendly flame retardant composition for wood and a method for producing flame resistant wood, flame retardant wood and semi-fireproof wood using the composition, and more specifically, the present invention relates to the flame retardant composition for wood, characterized by comprising sodium pyrophosphate, urea, phosphoric acid, borax, surfactant, and remaining amount of purified water, and the flame resistant wood, flame retardant wood and semi-fireproof wood produced by using the flame retardant composition. The environmentally friendly flame retardant composition for wood comprising the above-mentioned components can impart flame resistance, flame retardancy, and semi-fireproof performance without deteriorating properties of wood by containing sodium pyrophosphate, and is composed of harmless components and shows environmentally friendly characteristics.
