The present invention relates to a speaker for converting an electric signal into an acoustic signal, and more particularly, to a speaker using a dead coil, capable of increasing sound pressure by reducing a weight of a vibrator by applying the dead coil to remove a dead section in which a force of a magnetic field is not applied, to an upper end of a voice coil, and improving sound quality by balancing the amplitudes of an upper side and a lower side by placing the center part of the dead coil in a gap on which the force of the magnetic field is concentrated by forming a downward protrusion part which protrudes by a preset length downward on the lower side of a vibration plate and attaching the voice coil to the lower side of the downward protrusion part.
