The casting billet is pulled out of the mold by a pulling roller, as the drive shaft rotates, the cam of the reciprocating mechanism changes the direction of rotation of the pulling roller to the opposite, as a result, the casting billet receives a return movement. The amount of return movement is determined by the shape of the cam. The drive shaft, continuing the rotation, turns the cam to its original position, and the cycle repeats.
