FIELD: technological processes.;SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the manufacture of heat-resistant parts of power and chemical plants. Aluminum plate is placed between the plates of low-carbon steel. Received three-layer pack is placed between the alloy steel plates. Received five-layer pack is welded by explosion at a given detonation velocity of explosive charge. Charge height and welding gaps between the plates in the five-layer pack are selected from the condition of obtaining the given plate impact velocities. Heat treatment of the welded five-layer workpiece and cooling with the furnace up to a predefined temperature are carried out. Further air cooling of the workpiece leads to spontaneous separation of aluminum from the steel layers along the intermetallic diffusion interlayers with the formation of two bimetallic plates. Each of the produced plates consists of an alloyed layer and a layer of low-carbon steel and has a full heat-resistant coating of the aluminum-iron system on the surface of the low-carbon steel layer.;EFFECT: method provides simultaneous production of two bimetallic plates that consist of layers of alloyed and low-carbon steel with full heat-resistant coatings on the layers surfaces made of low-carbon steel during one explosion welding operation.;1 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
