Method for evaporating and recovering a LNG of a floating complex from a LNG storage tank produced from the main liquefaction process and stored in said storage tank (510) comprises the following: heating at least a portion of the LNG to provide a boil-off gas stream and a liquid quench stream; wherein the heating is provided by the heated stream (507), preferably methane. Stream of boil-off gas is directed and a sharply cooling flow of liquid is introduced into quench system (512) and this quench system (512) cools the stream of boil-off gas to provide liquid quench stream (515).
