A structural mat (10) and an apparatus and a method for producing such a structural mat (10) are described. The structural mat comprises: - upper thin-walled nodal surfaces (1) on the upper side of the structural mat (10) and lower thin-walled nodal surfaces (2) on the underside of the structural mat (10), the upper nodal surfaces (1) being movable with respect to the lower nodal surfaces (2 ) are spaced in the thickness direction of the structural mat (10), - wherein each of the upper node surfaces (1) of three side edges (4) is enclosed, - wherein each of the upper node surfaces (1) via three thin-walled connecting surfaces (3) with three lower node surfaces ( 2), each of the lower node surfaces (2) being bordered by three lateral edges (4), and - each of the lower node surfaces (2) being connected to three upper node surfaces (1) via three thin-walled connecting surfaces (3).
