A control device is proposed for installation in a rail vehicle and for actuating devices in a rail vehicle. The control device has a housing (1) and at least two control modules (10, 10 ') arranged in the housing. Each control module (10, 10 ') comprises at least one switching input (11, 11'); a logic unit (12, 12 ') connected to the switching input (11, 11'); a semiconductor power switching device (13, 13 ') connected to the logic unit (12, 12') and controllable by the logic unit (12, 12 '); and at least one power output (16, 16 ') connected to the semiconductor power switching device (13, 13'). The first control module (10) is connectable via the power output (16) with a sanding of a rail vehicle and designed to control and operate them. The second control module (10 ') is connectable via the power output (16') with a rail brake of the rail vehicle and designed to control and operate them.
