The invention relates to a platform for maintenance work on a wind turbine. The platform enables service and repair work outside a hub of the wind turbine. The invention also relates to a method for mounting such a platform. The object of the invention is to provide a temporary work platform for maintenance work on a wind turbine. The object is achieved by a platform according to the invention for maintenance work as a modular and temporary maintenance platform on a wind turbine. The wind turbine consists of a tower, a nacelle with a rotor and a rotor hub. The maintenance platform comprises a base frame with a plurality of tread plates and a stationary support structure, wherein the maintenance platform is rotatably mounted on the support structure.
