PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile cart for a three-dimensional object printer.SOLUTION: A mobile cart 100 that moves through a three-dimensional object printing system includes a platform 102 and at least one bearing 104 that is operatively connected to the platform and configured to engage with a lower surface 112 of a rail of the printing system in order to locate the platform with respect to an ejector head 122 positioned opposite the rail 114. The cart further includes at least one other bearing operatively connected to the platform and configured to engage with an upper surface 118 of the rail and apply a bias force that urges the at least one bearing against the lower surface of the rail. The rail is configured to block material ejected by the ejector head 122 from reaching the lower surface thereon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
