To provide remote handling equipment, an imaging apparatus, remote control operation method and program capable of restraining a photographer from keeping to look at a live view image, displayed on the remote handling equipment, continuously at the time of photographing.SOLUTION: Remote handling equipment 10 for remote handling an imaging apparatus 30 according to the operation of a photographer includes a display control section 161 for controlling a display 12 to display the images, captured by the imaging apparatus 30, sequentially as live view images, a detector 13 for detecting the imaging instruction by the photographer, an imaging control section 162 outputting a control signal for controlling a recording section 36 to record the image, captured by the imaging apparatus 30 upon elapsing a predetermined standby time T after the imaging instruction is detected by the detector 13, and an inhibition part 18 for inhibiting display of the live view images by the display 12, in response to detection of the imaging instruction by the detector 13, before the standby time T elapses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
