PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid soap and a packed solid soap, with which there can be easily and surely performed work to coat the solid soap on an object to be cleaned.;SOLUTION: The present invention is a solid soap 1, where the cross-sectional shape thereof is a pentagonal or more polygonal shape. The solid soap 1 is used held in a cylindrical container 2 having at least one end in an open state. The cylindrical container 2 preferably has a rib 21 for locking the solid soap 1 formed on an inner wall 20a of a cylindrical body 20 thereof.
