To provide a carton and a blank for forming the carton.SOLUTION: A tray has a bottom wall part, a pair of side wall parts, and a pair of end wall parts, and is formed of a plurality of gusset panels by coupling foldable corner webs of respective corners together by hinging between respective adjacent side part edges of the end wall parts and side wall parts. A fixed flap is coupled by hinging to an upper edge of each side wall part, and comprises a handle flap and can transition from a first initial mode to a second extended mode. In the second extended mode, adjacent side part edges of the end wall part and the side wall part of each corner are separated, and respective corner webs can be locked in the second extended mode with the fixed flap at a partially spread position. The fixed flap is folded to a lock position where the handle flap is received in one hand opening of the side wall part by folding each corner web between the fixed flap and each of the side wall parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
