To provide a lock for a bag, case or the like in which there is no rattling of a lid body due to looseness, and that does not lose lock holding ability and airtightness.SOLUTION: The lock for a bag, case or the like is composed of a lock body 10 attached to a housing, and an insertion member 100 attached to a lid body. The lock incorporates, into a recessed storage part 11i, a locking cam 12 rotating about a locking cam pivot 12a in the engagement and nonengagement directions, a locking lever 13, and biasing means 14 for biasing the locking lever 13 at least in the locking direction. When an engagement piece 102 further enters the lock body after the engagement piece 102 engages with a first engagement part 12b formed in the locking cam 12, the locking cam 12 automatically rotates so as to attract the engagement piece 102 to the locking position because of the biasing force of the biasing means 14.
