To provide a motor compressor which achieves reduction of manufacturing costs and weight and can secure airtightness of a housing chamber in a highly reliability manner.SOLUTION: A motor compressor of the invention includes: a compression mechanism 5; an electric mechanism 7; an inverter circuit 9; a housing 1; a cover 3; and a seal member 11. The seal member 11 comprises: a seal body 11b; and a core material 11a. The seal body 11b is made of rubber and contacts with the housing 1 and the cover 3. The core material 11a is embedded in the seal body 11b. The core material 11a is made of resin. In the core material 11a, a frame part 111 and a bridge part 112 are integrally formed. The frame part 111 forms an annular shape, encloses a housing chamber, and is embedded in the seal body 11b. The bridge part 112 is located at the inner side of the frame part 111 and connected to the frame part 111 at both ends.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
