To provide an article recognition device, an article recognition method, and a non-transitory readable storage medium that enable an article to be recognized appropriately.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the article recognition device includes an image interface and a processor. The image interface acquires a captured image of an arrangement place where an article is arranged. The processor acquires the captured image through the image interface, specifies a first article from the captured image, determines whether the first article overlaps a second article, and in the case where it is determined that the first article overlaps the second article, displays a warning screen that prompts for moving the first article to a position that does not overlap another article on a display device, determines whether the first article has been moved, and when it is determined that the first article has been moved, acquires the captured image through the image interface, and specifies the article from the captured image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
