The present invention provides an electronic lock unlocking method capable of suppressing a cost increase and preventing a relay attack without malfunction. A clock signal used in an electronic lock control unit for unlocking an electronic lock and a clock signal used in an electronic key are synchronized, and the electronic lock control unit wirelessly transmits a measurement start signal, and then this measurement is performed. In response to the reception of the start signal, the delay time taken to receive the response signal wirelessly transmitted by the electronic key is measured, and the electronic lock is released only when the measured delay time is within the predetermined time.
