BIOETHANOL PRODUCTION METHOD BY ENZYME METHOD USING CELLULOSIC BIOMASS AS MATERIAL

To provide a bioethanol production method using a lignocellulosic biomass as a material, capable of enhancing ethanol density of a fermentation liquid acquired in a fermentation step, without special equipment, and reducing a load of distillation, when enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose included in a biomass is performed for solubilizing the cellulose.SOLUTION: The invention is configured so that, when a solid residue of a cellulosic biomass from which hemicellulose is removed, is mixed with a solution including a cellulose hydrolysis enzyme in a reaction vessel, ethanol is included by 3 mass% or more and 6 mass% or less. When performing hydrolysis of the cellulose, growth of saprophyte is suppressed and ethanol density in ethanol fermentation of a saccharified liquid is enhanced, so that a distillation load is reduced. The ethanol added in hydrolysis time is collected when distilling the alcohol fermentation liquid and may be reused.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
