To provide an inheritance relationship explanatory diagram creation device and creation method as well as control program that make it possible to comprehend contents of family registries different in format depending upon an era, and make it possible to efficiently create the inheritance relationship explanatory diagram.SOLUTION: An inheritance relationship explanatory diagram creation device comprises: a control unit that is connected to an input unit and a display unit; a database that includes expositions of terminologies, formats of family registries different depending upon an era and the exposition thereof, as well as an exposition of laws; and a storage unit that stores ancestors and information on inheritance interested persons. The control unit is configured to display ancestor information to be input by the input unit and store the ancestor information in the storage unit; display the exposition of the terminology, format of the family registry, an exposition and laws about the family registry to be selected by the input unit; store basic information on the inheritance interested person and composition information thereon to be input by the input unit in the storage unit; and create an inheritance relationship explanatory diagram based on the ancestor information, the basic information and composition information on the inheritance interested person stored in the storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
