To generate a commercial polymerase that has robust reaction features of utilizing a wide range of salt and metal ion concentrations and metal ion types as well as enhanced rate progressivity and proofreading activity.SOLUTION: DNA polymerases from red sea brine pool organisms are disclosed. The polymerase can extend DNA under high salt and metal ion concentrations in the presence of different types of metal ions, and thus enables utilization of the polymerase to improve currently available molecular biological, biochemical and biophysical techniques.SELECTED DRAWING: None
