To prepare a transporter for further or additional use after the use of the transporter.SOLUTION: A computing device detects that an aircraft has started a specific phase of flight, and the computing device performs independent operations on behalf of a service operator to automatically allocate and distribute resources to the aircraft on the basis of availability of the resources and the flight phase of the aircraft. The computing device triggers the preparation of a particular service prior to the arrival of the aircraft, whereby associated service equipment is made ready when the aircraft arrives at a gate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
