To provide a platoon travel operation system which manages the number of platoon cooperatable vehicles, and can manage allocation of a driver of a vehicle which joins a platoon for a vehicle leaving from the platoon.SOLUTION: A platoon travel operation system organizes a platoon by making a plurality of vehicles cooperate with each other on a predetermined route. The platoon travel operation system includes an application acceptance processing unit and an application management processing unit. The application acceptance processing unit accepts designation of any platoon in a plurality of platoons whose departure time or an arrival time in each base place scattered on the route is previously determined and application of incorporation of a vehicle including at least designation of a departure base place and an arrival base place on the route to the platoon. The application management processing unit manages application including determination of acceptance/unacceptance of the application so that the number of cooperatable vehicles of each of the plurality of platoons does not exceed the predetermined number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
