A system is provided for monitoring goods in a distribution network. The system includes a storage device for storing parameters associated with the item in the distribution network, at least one of the parameters being received from the transport refrigeration system. The storage device stores history parameters of other items. Also included is a parameter management system connected to the storage device. The parameter management system includes a prediction module that determines prediction parameters, and a mesh module that determines output parameters by combining the prediction parameters and the parameters.
