PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pseudo speckle pattern generation device and the like which has high degree of freedom in settings of space structure or light intensity statistic distribution of generated speckle patterns.SOLUTION: A pseudo speckle pattern generation device 1A comprises a light source 11, a beam expander 12 and a spatial light modulator 13. The spatial light modulator 13 has modulation distribution of intensity based on a pseudo random number pattern and a pseudo speckle pattern which is calculated from a correlation function, receives light outputted from the light source 11 and having a beam diameter enlarged by the beam expander 12, spatially modulates the received light according to the modulation distribution and then outputs the modulated light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
