PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elution suppression method of heavy metals capable of suppressing easily and inexpensively elution of heavy metals; and to provide an elution suppression material.;SOLUTION: A granular processing object containing heavy metals, and a water-repellent agent are mixed together (step S1-S3), to thereby suppress elution of heavy metals (step S4). In this case, the processing object, the water-repellent agent and a binder material may be mixed together to be granular, or otherwise, a surface layer of the processing object, a surface layer of a granular material obtained by granulating the processing object, or a surface layer of a manufacture obtained by processing the processing object may be covered with an elution suppression material containing the water-repellent agent.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
