PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a temporary enclosure for an elevator capable of reducing an installation space and a method of mounting the temporary enclosure of the elevator.SOLUTION: An temporary enclosure 10 for an elevator includes a closing plate 12 for closing a landing hall doorway 4 communicating with a landing hall 2 and a hoistway 1. An entrance frame 10 includes a pair of vertical columns 6 positioned at both sides of the landing hall doorway 4 and an upper frame 7 positioned at an upper part of the landing hall doorway 4 and disposed between respective upper ends of the pair of vertical columns 6. The closing plate 12 is mounted on the entrance frame 10 and disposed at the side of the hoistway 1 rather than a surface of the entrance frame 10 at the side of the landing hall 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
